Purpose of the Role

To manage and coordinate organic farming activities across East Khasi Hills by engaging farmers, supporting field-level implementation, monitoring crop production, and ensuring smooth harvesting and procurement operations in line with company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote awareness and adoption of organic farming among farmers.
• Identify and onboard new farmers in the assigned area.
• Conduct farmer training and awareness programmes.
• Supervise farmers, crops, harvesting, and produce dispatch as per company schedules.
• Coordinate directly with farmers for produce procurement.
• Implement internal Control Systems (ICS) for organic production.
• Maintain farmer, crop, training, and project-related records.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers and local stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in any field; Agriculture, Horticulture or Allied Sectors preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in rural/field operations or a managerial/supervisory role.
• Good knowledge and practical experience in organic farming.
• Good communication skills in English and the local language.
• Strong farmer engagement, coordination, and multitasking abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the district.
