Experience

• 15+ years in manufacturing/processing operations, with minimum 5 years in senior leadership.
• Strong preference for seed processing, agri-inputs, food/agro-processing, or related industries.

Role Summary

Prasad Seeds Pvt Ltd (INDIA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Operations to lead and optimize multi-site seed drying, processing, and value-chain operations across India.

The role requires a seasoned operations leader with proven expertise in hybrid corn and rice seed processing, strong commercial and technical acumen, and the ability to drive operational excellence, quality, safety, and client satisfaction at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational & Strategic Leadership

Lead end-to-end operations across all seed processing sites, ensuring seamless execution of receipt, drying, processing, treatment, storage, and dispatch.

2. Productivity, Efficiency & Asset Optimization Champion

Lean, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement programs to improve cost, yield, uptime, and turnaround times.

Maximize utilisation of all assets (dryers, shellers, graders, treaters, packing lines) through robust planning and preventive maintenance.

Identify and implement high-impact cost savings without compromising product quality or safety. Strengthen OEE, energy efficiency, and operational discipline across sites.

3. People Leadership & Culture Building

Lead and mentor Site Managers, Production Heads, and cross-functional teams with a strong focus on capability building and accountability.

Build a high-performance, safety-first culture with clear goals, metrics, and developmental pathways.

Drive succession planning, training modules, and continuous skill upgradation for operational teams.

4. Quality, Safety & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure 100% adherence to quality parameters, phytosanitary norms, and MNC client specifications.

Drive proactive safety culture aligned with HSE guidelines, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness.

Lead internal, client, and third-party audits; ensure timely closure of findings and root-cause corrective action. Strengthen compliance reporting and documentation systems.

5. Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary operations interface for strategic customers (including global MNCs).

6. Budgeting, Planning & Reporting
