Job Summary

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end seed production activities to ensure high-quality seed output and efficient resource utilization. The role involves planning, execution, monitoring, and coordination with the supporting teams to meet production targets while maintaining quality, compliance, and safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual production plans in alignment with business targets.
• Ensure adherence to crop production protocols, isolation standards, and quality norms.
• Monitor crop performance, pest/disease & nutrition management, and harvest activities.
• Supervise day-to-day operations including planting, irrigation, spraying, fertigation, pollination, and maintenance.
• Oversee environmental control parameters such as temperature, humidity, irrigation, and fertigation schedules.
• Plan and manage nursery activities, transplanting schedules, and plant health monitoring.
• Ensure all operations adhere to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) guidelines and regulatory norms.
• Lead and train production staff, supervisors, and seasonal workers.
• Coordinate with R&D, SCM, and processing teams for smooth operational flow.
• Manage manpower (Labour & field staff management) planning, cost control, and productivity improvement initiatives.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of seed production processes & crop management.
• Hands-on experience with irrigation, fertigation, and climate control systems.
• Proficiency in production data management and report preparation.
• Soft Skills- knowledge of Excel, word, power point, ERP and general reports preparation.
