Location: New Delhi (Remote with Extensive Field Travel)

At Soil Doctor, we’re building India’s next-generation soil intelligence platform, combining soil testing technology, Al-driven recommendations, agronomic expertise, and field networks to improve farmer productivity and soil health. We’re looking for a passionate Senior Agronomist who can bridge scientific research, field implementation, and digital innovation to help scale our impact across India.

What You’ll Do

• Develop crop-specific nutrient management and fertilizer recommendation protocols
• Design, execute, and validate agronomic field trials across diverse crops and geographies
• Translate soil, water, and plant analysis data into actionable farmer recommendations
• Build SOPs, crop advisory frameworks, and agronomy knowledge systems
• Collaborate with product, Al, and engineering teams to create data-driven advisory tools
• Train and mentor field teams, channel partners, FPOS, retailers, and agripreneurs
• Work with universities, research institutions, and industry partners to drive innovation

Who We’re Looking For

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, Plant Nutrition, Horticulture, or related disciplines
• 5-10+ years of experience in agronomy, soil fertility, crop nutrition, research, advisory, or agri-inputs
• Strong understanding of soil health, nutrient management, crop physiology, and fertilizer recommendations
• Experience conducting field trials, demonstrations, and farmer engagement programs
• Ability to convert scientific insights into practical field solutions
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and training skills
• Willingness to travel extensively and work closely with farmers

Preferred Experience

• Soil testing and nutrient advisory systems
• Precision agriculture, GIS, remote sensing, and digital agronomy
• Agri-tech startups, FPOs, NGOs, research institutions, or agri-input companies
• Multi-crop experience across different agro-climatic zones
