The Product Development Lead is a strategic role responsible for managing and guiding the end-to-end product development process for Rasi’s crop portfolio. This includes overseeing hybrid evaluation, advancement, positioning, and pre-commercialization planning across multiple geographies and crops.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-location trials, adaptive trials, and pre-commercial demos for field crops (maize, paddy, Wheat, Mustard, Millet)
• Collaborate with breeding, marketing, and sales teams to define product priorities for each crop and season.
• Guide the creation of short-, medium-, and long-term product plans aligned with business goals and regional requirements
• Train and mentor PD teams on trial design, data analysis, and agronomic recommendations

Key Requirements

• M.Sc. (Agri) or Ph.D. in Agronomy from a reputed institution with 12-20 years in Product Development or Crop Management within the seed industry
• Proven experience in managing large-scale PD trials for field crops
• Strong understanding of crop-specific climatic adaptation and farmer needs
• Familiarity with Indian Agri-markets and regional cropping patterns
