Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Patent Associate with expertise in chemistry-related patents to support patent searching, drafting, filing, prosecution, and patent analysis. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the Indian Patent Act and patent databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patent searches, including technical, prior art, FTO, infringement, validity, landscape, and Markush searches.
• Perform patentability analysis and provide technical opinions.
• Draft and file Indian and PCT patent applications.
• Handle patent prosecution, including responses to Examination Reports and hearing submissions.
• Draft and manage pre- and post-grant oppositions and related replies.
• Maintain patent records and databases.
• Coordinate with R&D teams and ensure compliance with Indian Patent Act procedures

Qualifications

• M.Sc in Agriculture / Organic Chemistry.
• Registered Patent Agent or Post Graduate Diploma in Patent Law & Practices preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of patent searching and patent drafting.
• Familiarity with Indian Patent Act and PCT procedures.
• Experience with patent databases and analytical tools.
• Excellent analytical, technical writing, and communication skills
