Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Tech. / Ph.D. in Agronomy, Horticulture, Vegetable Science, Plant Science or a related field
Technical Expertise Required
The candidate should have strong hands-on and commercial experience in multiple hydroponic and soilless cultivation systems, including:
- NFT (Nutrient Film Technique)
- Dutch Bucket systems
- Vertical Hydroponics
- Soilless cultivation & growing media
- Indoor Hydroponics / CEA
- Fertigation and irrigation management
- Nutrient solution management
- EC & pH optimization
- Root-zone and plant nutrition management
- Crop scheduling and production planning
- Crop troubleshooting and performance optimization
- High-Value & Specialty Crop Experience
- Experience with high-value, premium and specialty crops will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead agronomy strategy across multiple hydroponic and soilless cultivation projects
- Develop crop-specific protocols, SOPs and production schedules
- Design and optimize nutrition, fertigation and irrigation programs
- Monitor and optimize EC, pH, nutrient balance and root-zone conditions
- Drive improvements in yield, quality, crop consistency and profitability
- Conduct crop trials and variety evaluation
- Develop and validate production protocols for new and high-value crops
- Diagnose and resolve crop, nutritional, physiological and environmental challenges
- Establish data-driven crop monitoring and performance-management systems
- Lead, mentor and develop agronomy teams across project locations
- Work closely with engineering, project execution and operations teams
- Support the commercial scale-up of new crops and advanced cultivation
Important Eligibility Criteria
This is a specialized role and relevant experience is essential.
We are specifically looking for candidates with 7+ years of directly relevant professional experience in hydroponics, soilless cultivation and/or Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).
Candidates without substantial, directly relevant hands-on experience in commercial hydroponic/soilless cultivation will not be considered. We request candidates to apply only if their professional experience closely matches the technical requirements of this position.
